Drone survey for construction sites
From the first topographic survey to the final as-built record, with measured progress in between.
What the survey gives you
Every construction decision depends on knowing what is on the ground today. A drone survey gives contractors, consultants and owners the same measured view of the site: existing levels before work starts, quantities as it proceeds, and a complete record when it finishes.
Why use a drone
Conventional surveys capture selected points and take days on a large site. A drone captures the entire site surface in one visit, and repeat flights on the same plan make progress directly comparable from one visit to the next.
Where it is used
Site planning
Existing levels, features and access mapped before design and mobilisation.
Earthwork quantities
Measured volumes for billing and for checking contractor claims.
Progress reporting
A dated visual and measured record for owners, lenders and remote teams.
Handover records
As-built documentation of the completed works.
Questions about construction survey
More answers in our drone services FAQ, or see how typical projects run.
What is a construction drone survey?
It is an aerial survey of a building or infrastructure site that produces maps, surface models and volumes used for planning, quantity measurement and progress tracking.
Can drone data be compared with the design?
Yes. Design drawings are overlaid on the drone map, and the surveyed surface is compared with design levels to show what is complete and what is not.
How often should a site be flown?
Weekly, fortnightly or monthly, matched to your reporting cycle. Earthwork-heavy phases usually benefit from more frequent flights.
